Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our services or website, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
01Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you use our services or contact us, including:
- Identification: name, date of birth, Social Security number or ITIN, government-issued ID.
- Contact details: address, phone number, email.
- Financial information: W-2s, 1099s, bank statements, tax returns, and other records needed to provide our services.
- Immigration information: passports, visas, family documents, and other records relevant to immigration applications.
- Family information: spouse, children, dependents, and related data as required by the service you've engaged us for.
- Website usage: Google Analytics records standard web statistics such as pages opened, approximate region, and device and browser type. Our web host also keeps standard server logs including IP address.
02How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Prepare and submit documents on your behalf as part of the service you've engaged us for.
- Communicate with you about your case, including missing documents, status updates, and scheduling.
- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
- Operate, maintain, and improve our services and website.
03How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to safeguard the information you share with us. Sensitive paperwork is stored in secure locations, and electronic records are kept on password-protected systems. While no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
04Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only:
- With government agencies (IRS, USCIS, state courts, etc.) as required to complete the service you've engaged us for.
- With service providers (e.g., e-filing platforms) who help us deliver our services, under appropriate confidentiality agreements.
- When required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
- With your explicit consent.
05Document Retention
We retain client records for the period required by applicable law and IRS recordkeeping rules — generally a minimum of three years after the filing date for tax-related documents. After this period, records may be securely destroyed unless we are required to retain them longer.
06Cookies and Tracking
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example which pages are opened and roughly which area visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends that information to Google. We use it only to improve the website. It is never combined with the tax, immigration or financial information you give us in the office, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising. We also store your language choice (English or Spanish) on your own device so the site opens in the language you picked. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every website using Google's official browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Apart from Google Analytics, our pages carry no embedded maps or social media trackers — links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram do nothing until you click them.
07Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Withdraw consent for certain uses of your information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.
08Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 except when provided by a parent or guardian in connection with a service (e.g., dependents on a tax return).
09Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
